Jeremy Wohlers was born in 1959 and grew up in Australia. He worked as a secondary school teacher in rural Matabeleland North from 1982 to 2002. While in Zimbabwe, he wrote feature articles for The Bulawayo Chronicle and The Sunday News. After returning to Australia, he worked as a teacher in a training institution for disengaged youth.

Jeremy Wohlers has written three books set in Zimbabwe; People of Skies, The Field of Bones, and Zimbabwean Tales (short stories).
